After graduating from the University of Kansas in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Business Administration, Pat moved to the Kansas City area to pursue an accounting position with Arthur Andersen LLP. He received his Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 1996, and then transitioned over the years into a variety of accounting and financial management roles at Kansas City Power & Light.

What began nearly 20 years ago as an opportunity to assist family and friends with their taxes blossomed into a desire to start his own CPA firm. At McCool Tax Services, Pat aims to combine high quality service with reasonable pricing to develop long-term partnerships with clients and offer consulting that goes beyond standard tax and accounting services.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Sherry, and their two boys, Luke and Christian.  They enjoy following the local sports teams, finding time to enjoy the outdoors, and vacationing for a week each year at the beach with family and cousins.
